ADNpinWANT TO BECOME AN R.N.? 

EMCC is accepting applications for its next class of Associate Degree Nursing students. The deadline to apply is Oct. 1, and classes begin in January. Graduates of the program receive the Associate of Applied Science in Nursing degree, which meets the educational requirement needed to apply for the National Council of State Boards of Nursing licensure examination for registered nurses. For more information, or an admission packet, call

Meet Jimmy & Pam Galloway, who recently
established a scholarship in automotive mechanics
to honor Pam’s late father, Mr. Ray Gildon, who
worked as a mechanic in the Lowndes County
School District.

Mighty Lion Band ready for 2010-11 season Print E-mail


bandcamp2010MIGHTY LION BAND CAMP 

Where did the summer go? The fall semester begins Aug. 18.
Students are registering for classes and buying books. On the
Scooba campus, E
MCC band director Stephen Stringer is taking
the Mighty Lion Band through its paces this week as they prepare
for the 2010-11 season. The band has grown so quickly in one year,
more than doubling in size, that Stringer had to relocate across
campus to a larger space in Aust Hall. Roar!

Servicepins2010,300FALL CONVOCATION 

EMCC faculty, staff and administrators gathered earlier this week for “Convocation” – a beginning of the year meeting during which we take stock of the present and plan for the future. We also award service pins to employees celebrating anniversaries, beginning with 10 years and continuing in five-year increments.
