COLUMBUS-LOWNDES DEVELOPMENT LINK HONORS EMCC'S BILL GAVIN
Bill Gavin of East Mississippi Community College is the 2010 recipient of Columbus-Lowndes Development LINK’s Post-Secondary Educator of the Year award. An instructor for more than 30 years, Gavin teaches drafting in EMCC’s Career-Technical and Workforce Services divisions. INDUSTRY APPRECIATION LUNCHEON
East Mississippi Community College hosted the 21st Annual Industry Appreciation Luncheon April 28 at its Golden Triangle campus. The event celebrates the college’s partnership with the business community – and it includes the presentation of the Director’s Award, Best Practices Awards and Special Recognition Awards. NAS MERIDIAN AWARDS
James McMullan, director of EMCC’s Naval Air Station Meridian branch, presented his highest awards to two students who graduated May 8. Ship's Serviceman 1st Class David M. Zepeda received the Navy Student of the Year Award. Congratulations, Class of 2010!
Nearly 700 new EMCC graduates are ready to step into the future. The Golden Triangle campus hosted two graduation ceremonies May 7, one at 2 p.m. for academic students, one at 6 p.m. for career-technical students. Students from the Columbus Air Force Base branch participated in these ceremonies.
